In this blog post, we are going to give you a Baker's Dozen Blast of what it takes to be successful as real estate investors, entrepreneurs, house flippers, or really anything in life that's worthwhile pursuing.

Learn your craft

Getting educated would be the first thing.  You can do this through various mentors, investment clubs, books, seminars, podcasts, and etc

Focus on the Prize

Stay focused and don't get distracted by all of the shiny objects.  Pick ONE thing and master it!

ACTION

Take MASSIVE action.  Pick a plan and bite into it like a 200lb PITBULL who hasn't ate in 3 days on a big meaty steak and never let up.  Make sure you are doing income generating actions and not "busy work!"  Sharpening pencils, buying folders, stapling papers, and etc doesn't work.  Get out there and DO!

Create a new path

Everything isn't going to be laid out perfectly.  There maybe times where you have to cut a new way through the forest and tap into your creativity, resourcefulness, and drive.  "Yeah but'ers" never get anything done.  Yeah but I don't have the time.  Yeah but I don't know how.  Yeah but NOTHING!  Focus on what you got working for you and dig deeper into that!

Work

It takes Work.  Grinding, sheer persistence, and high levels of enthusiastic action is what it takes.  If it was easy, then everyone would be doing it.

Make a Decision

You have to be decisive and once you make a decision, that's it.  Don't waste time going back and forth or worse by taking too long to decide.  Do your best and due diligence.  Also do not sweat any of the small stuff and in the end, it is all small stuff!

Take Risks into account

Understand that there will be a degree of risk involved.  Try your best to mitigate the risks and do not let fear control your actions.  We can always "what if" ourselves to death.  why not suppose that it goes right?

Fail Forward Fast

Accept that there is going to be a certain amount of failure that you will have to experience before you succeed.  Be grateful because everything in life is feedback.  You simply learn what doesn't work and what does work.  Everything you find something that doesn't work you are getting closer to find something that does!  "I didn't fail, I successfully found 10,000 ways it would not work" Thomas Edison

Create Systems

Successful people use systems and the easier the system the better!  Focus on daily actions that will get you your goals.  Some say focus on your goal and we say focus on the system, the baby-steps.  We say this because systems will move you toward your goals regardless of your motivation.  Focus on the daily income generating tasks that need to be done and just do that everyday.  Soon you will hit your goals before you know it!

Leverage

Successful people use leverage.  They leverage their time, people, systems, money, and etc.  Know what your time is worth and where you should be spending it.  Outsource and utilize other people and systems so you are free to work on your business. 

Stay consistent

Consistently taking the right action, talking to new people, working on your craft, learning AND applying something new everyday and you will become successful over time.  Do the right things long enough consistently and when it's your turn to win you will win.

"In 5 years, your income will be the average of your 5 best friends"

Have you heard that quote?  If you want to learn something, then you have to get around people who are doing that same thing.  Get around people in the higher income bracket and observe, question, model, and really get inside their minds.  You get around them and you will start to think like them and soon your actions and income will be the same as them.  At that point, set your sights higher!

You Gotta Believe!

If you aren't taking action on a thing, it's because you have a belief issue somewhere.  Don't set your sights on making a million dollars.  Set your sights on something that you believe you can accomplish and take massive action on that goal.  Once you hit it, then your belief will be deeper and then set you sights on the next higher thing. 

When you make a life changing decision, your current network will not be accepting because they simply don't see it. Stay focused, get around the right people, and take continuous action and will find success before you know it.
