So who exactly are Kucan and Clark?
Kucan and Clark are both highly respected and known in the San Diego real estate
arena, but few actually know how different and disparaging both of their lives
were. Darrell Kucan was pursuing a
career as a maintenance supervisor in Oregon
and Dr. Imran Clark was a Senior Scientist in the Biotech industries. Both Darrell and Imran were pursuing their
own careers, had wives and children respectively, but they each wanted more out
of life and wanted to escape the daily grind to create a life on their own
terms and that decision led both of them into real estate.
In 2007, their paths crossed while getting into networking,
personal development, and the proper education that would lead to a successful
partnership in 2009. As a result, they
both became highly success real estate investors and business partners.
During a previous interview, we were asked the following
questions. We feel that these three
questions would be of great benefit to you and give you more of an idea of
where are thinking is at.
The questions are as follows:
1) What would be your
most valuable piece of advice for a person who wants to get into real estate
whether it be wholesaling, flipping, buying and holding, or anything else
related within the real estate profession?
Get mentors in both personal development and real estate.
2) Can you describe,
in one sentence, the paradigm shift that needs to occur for a person to become
a success in real estate investing?
You must totally internalize the information you will be
taught, not question every decision, and willing to let go of things that
aren't serving you.
3) Name the number
one thing you wish you known about this industry when you guys were first
starting out.
Exactly how many people, who had experience, already in the
industry that we could use as a resource and understand the willingness people
are to help us out and lead us in the right directions.
